2017 Parade
The Long Island Woman Suffrage Association will again march in the Glen Cove Memorial Day Parade, Monday, May 27, 2019. Please join us to celebrate New York State’s ratification of the 19th Amendment which occurred on June 16, 1919. It then went on its way throughout the rest of the nation, resulting in its final ratification in Tennessee on August 18, 1920. We meet at noon at the Glen Cove Middle School on Forest Avenue.
