Long Island and the Woman Suffrage Movement

Home to the Long Island Woman Suffrage Association, Incorporated

Welcome to my page where, for the past several years we have celebrated women winning the vote, both in New York and throughout the nation.

Now that the centennials have passed we will concentrate on celebrating, not just suffragists, but other remarkable women as well.  They may have been active suffragists, or may have lived later, after the vote was won. But rest assured that, whatever their achievements, they will have changed our world for the better.

So, please browse the site, check on the latest posts, feel free to make suggestions and comments, and scroll through the list Helpful Links that offers a treasure trove of information about the history of the woman suffrage movement, and women’s history in general.

Welcome!
