Suffrage Featured at 35th Conference on New York State History June 12-14

The 35th Conference on New York State history will be held on June 12-14 at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. An annual meeting of historians, librarians, archivists and others interested in the history of the State of New York, this year’s presenters will include Judith Wellman, from Historical New York Research Associates, who will present a program exploring “The Social Bases of Support for and Opposition to Women’s Suffrage.”

It is always exciting to see the woman suffrage movement come up for discussion at such a prestigious conference, especially as we prepare for our centennial celebration of New York State woman suffrage in 2017. For further information, see
