Plans to celebrate the New York State Suffrage Centennial are moving along, and we are waiting to hear from the New York State Legislature about funding in the Governor’s budget. We are hoping for a generous amount from each legislative body.

To that end we need supporters to write to their local senators and assembly members asking them to vote for funding for the centennial commission. There is also a petition being circulated which supporters can sign, and write a few lines telling why they think it is important to remember and celebrate this historic event. The New York Council for the Humanities has been working hard on this issue, and we thank them for their support.
